Eric graduated from Kansas State University in with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Agricultural Economics with a specialty in Pre-Law. At K-State, Eric was president of his fraternity and was one of two collegiate students in Kansas to be awarded the Kansas Farm Bureau Congressional Fellowship.
Eric earned his law degree from Washburn University School of Law, graduating with honors. As a result of his completion of a focused business curriculum, Eric was also a recipient of a Certificate in Business and Transactional Law. During law school, Eric represented indigent clients in Shawnee County District Court through his participation in the Washburn Law Clinic. It was also during law school that Eric received his introduction to bankruptcy practice through a clerkship at a Topeka law firm.
Before joining Klenda Austerman LLC in 2010, Eric practiced bankruptcy law in Overland Park, Kansas. Eric has experience representing clients in bankruptcy courts in the District of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri. Experienced in all phases of bankruptcy representation, Eric takes pride in providing his clients with individual attention and practical advice.
Outside the office, Eric’s hobbies include backcountry hiking and attending K-State athletic events. He is also a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Royals.
